I‘m raising funds for Abeer and her family whose beloved home was destroyed during the ongoing war in Sudan. This is her message:

Our family home, where generations grew up, has been destroyed.

Our house in Sudan, the one my father grew up in, the one built by my grandfather, was raided and ransacked by RSF forces during the ongoing conflict. It wasn’t just looted, it was violated.

They broke in, stole everything: our life savings, jewelry, appliances, even the car. They shattered the doors with bullets, damaged the walls, tore through every room, and left behind only ruins. The electrical wiring is destroyed, the locks are gone, and nothing inside is usable.

This house wasn’t just a shelter. It was home, the only one we’ve ever known. A place full of decades of memories, family history, and love. Now, it’s unlivable.

We estimate the total loss to be over $20,000–30,000. But what we’re asking for isn’t to replace everything. We just want to make it safe enough for our family to return.

We’re fundraising to:

Replace basic essentials like a fridge and furniture

Repair burned and damaged rooms

Reinforce doors and windows shattered by gunfire

Restore electricity and plumbing

Create a safe, livable space again for our family
