Hello this is my first time having to go through this but my name is Brenda. I’m a 30-year-old mom and a newly registered nurse who has always dreamed of helping others through healthcare. Unfortunately, I was recently in a terrible accident that left me with a broken back, arms, and ribs. I’ve been in the hospital for over a week now, and while I’m deeply grateful to still be here for my family, I’m facing a long road to recovery.

This experience has given me a new perspective — not only as a nurse, but now as a patient too. I know it will make me a stronger and more compassionate nurse when I’m able to return to work. But right now, I’m unable to work, and the medical bills and rehabilitation costs are overwhelming. Sadly, my insurance doesn’t cover everything I need for recovery.
