Hello Freinds and Family !!
Buckle up, Iv'e got a story for you. Lately, Iv'e been trying to focus less on material things and cluttering my life with stuff. I am learning to embrace every beautiful moment life offers me. I would rather fill my time with expieriences, bad dance moves, laughter, and alot of love. This being said, I don't desire any items for my birthday/christmas. Instead, I have found the Wildlife Friends Foundation located in Petchaburi, Thailand. They offer a variety of volunteer programs, but the ones I will be participating in are the Wildlife Rescue Centre and the Elephant Sanctuary. So, I would love to ask you lovely people to donate to sending me to patricipate in these programs instead of buying me presents.
The Elephant Sanctuary takes in abused elephants from tourist attractions and takes care of them ethically. They also educate tourist and locals a like to promote elephant saftey and care. The Wildlife Rescue Centre has a range of animals from bears to monkeys. They take in injured wildlife and rehabilitate them back into the wild. While at these two places, I would be building/cleaning enclosures, feeding the animals, bathing/walking the elephants and learning as much as I possibly can.
I know asking for $1,800 is a lot, but let me explain. This includes a plane ticket (roud-trip), the program participation, and transportation. The program requires a fee to participate, and that money goes back to the animals. It pays for their food, enclosures, and for me to stay their as well. I have confirmed/ reserved my spot in these programs for January 2018 from the 7th-21st.
This is an amazing opportunity to learn and work hands on with some magnificant animals. I cant let this pass me up and I will be the first to say that I need some help on this one guys. I would be overwhelmed with joy to have ya'lls support on this, any amount of help is tremendously apprciated. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading. I am so gratful for you all.
