Strength and Support for Hailey’s Family

On 4-15-23, two year old Hailey Summer died unexpectedly in her sleep. She had Tuberous Sclerosis Complex and epilepsy but was doing wonderfully and was seizure free for over a year. They are waiting for confirmation but at this time it is believed she died from SUDEP (sudden unexpected death in epilepsy).

Her family is devastated and the TSC community is mourning with them. We want to do everything we can to help them so they can grieve together, lay their baby girl to rest and continue to be the best parents they can be to their 4 year old son Jaxon who is missing his sister. 

Hailey’s dad, Mike, is self-employed and her mom, Allison, is a stay at home mom. Because Mike is self employed he does not have any leave or benefits. With no paid time off, he will need to go back to work next week at the latest. They need more time together, they need each other and having this support will give them that.

Below is a message from Allison about their sweet Angel.

“It is with shattered hearts that we share the passing of our beautiful, sweet, darling girl Hailey Summer. She was doing so well despite her genetic condition. This wasn’t supposed to happen.

Hailey was vibrant, loud, energetic, full of life, she was pure sunshine in human form. She was fearless and adventurous. She could climb anything better than any kid twice her age. She could ride a skateboard throughout the house. She was constantly singing and dancing.

She was full of love, and would say “Mama, Dada, cuddle, snuggie!!” so that we would cuddle with her under a blanket. “Mama, Dada, big hug” and would squeeze us so tight! She recently started saying “I Love You”. She laughed all the time. She was the happiest kid I’ve ever seen and everyone who knew her said the same.

I would give anything to hear her and hold her in my arms again. Our house is so quiet and empty now. The joy and the life have been sucked out of our home and out of us. Jaxon is the only reason any light remains. If you pray, please pray for our strength. Hailey, we love you more than words could ever say. Our little firecracker. We wanted to see you grow, you were going to do amazing things. We will miss you, every second of every day forever ”
