Street Friends fundraiser, covid19 response

With Covid19 lockdown and extension, we cannot accept any donations at our premises from members of the public, keeping everyone safe.

For one average week over 7 days, we see around 400 people.  You can see the costs incurred.  £5 for a meal & drink up to £50 for a meal, drink, care package, warm & essential clothing, covid safety, blanket/sleeping bag.

The list goes on - we do NOT receive any government funding and rely on donations and community grants.  Every single penny donated will help us, any amount helps.  Even if you cannot spare a pound or 2, then by sharing this on your page/s, with friends/family, you help raise awareness and that helps us greatly.

PLEASE help us continue our 7 days, twice weekly welfare service, for those most in need.  Thank you.

We offer 7 mornings & evenings a week street welfare outreach checks and twice-weekly full evening outreach; emergency meals & provisions:  take the time to talk to everyone with befriending; safe choices and if/when required we can make direct referrals/signpost to other professional services/charities/groups. Our ACVO registered constitution registered community group, is operating as a frontline 'Welfare Service.
We are Licensed with Aberdeen City Council.  Fully insured, our new bank account, with funding applied for to secure premises lease and more.
However, to apply for grants and funding streams we need a year's projection, coupled with the efforts we have already made.  Such this involves having done our own fundraising, money paid in by the committee themselves, and a project online to raise funds for, as well as daily operations.
