Stop The Cold Spring Cell Tower

Please help us preserve the beauty of the Hudson Valley and the small town of Cold Spring NY. Stop Verizon from erecting another unneeded cell tower. This structure will decimate over 100 trees and disturb a 10 acre sanctuary for wildlife and the endangered Northern Long Eared Bat. The 4500 sqft. footprint will sit next to a cemetery that is home to Veteran heroes dating back to the Civil War. This 100 ft. tall eye sore will literally cast a shadow over this sacred property. The land it will sit on also abuts a school to over 100 children. Furthermore, Verizon will have to break property laws that we all trust as land owners. The primary argument to defeat Verizon, and one of the only ways to stop this atrocity from happening, is to uphold our “right of way” laws. New York State “right of way” laws rule strongly in the favor of the property owner. Lawyers are working on this case and have held off construction; however, some devastating tree felling has started. Litigation is imminent and beating Verizon will be costly.
