Hello everyone,
My name is Michael De Freitas and I am a site leader for the 2018 FIU Honors STITCH Medical Brigade. This upcoming summer, my co-leader Samuel Salazar and I will be coordinating a group of pre-med students to provide medical care to under-priveledged communities in Cusco, Peru. While in the country, we will be working alongside medical personnel to open clinics and see patients in areas where access to health-care is poor and assistance is needed. Our group's mission is to create lasting change and improve the lives of those less fortunate, and we hope that you would be willing to support us in this cause. As future doctors and medical professionals, many of us coming from backgrounds similar to the communities we will serve, this is something we hold close to our hearts.
Encompassing the cost of accommodations, flights, transportation, and medical supplies, our group would need to fundraise a total of $8000 to make this a reality. We are incredibly thankful for any kind of donation that you could make. Please rest assured that all donations are going directly towards our goal.

Through the Florida International University Honors College, the pre-medical group Students Taking Initiative Through Collaboration in Honors (STITCH) sends medical brigades each year to countries across Latin America and the Caribbean, such as Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Peru.
The group of members for this year's trip to Cusco are: Michael De Freitas, Samuel Salazar, Megan Molina, Frank Trujillo, Barbara Ortega, Humberto Pedraza, Jessy Contreras, Bridgette Hernandez, Chiara Pavon, and Abigail Martinez.
