Stevie Kicks Cancer Fund

As some of you may know, Stevie was diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Breast Cancer in February. She has undergone 3 surgical procedures at this point and will require a 4th early next year. She has been undergoing chemotherapy since April and is hopeful this will be completed in August. After chemotherapy, she will begin 6 weeks of daily radiation, followed by 10 years of hormone therapy. This of course has been a very emotional time for her and her family, but she refuses to let it dampen her spirits and maintains  a very positive attitude. However the financial strain is starting to cause her significant stress and while she was determined to not ask for help she has finally caved and is allowomg me to set up this fund for her family. While the aggressiveness of her treatment plan is giving her the best chance of a successful outcome it has unfortunately made it impossible for her to work. She has been very fortunate to get some financial aid for medications, but copays, deductibles and out of pockets have been significant and will all need to be met again as her insurance year will start over again prior to starting and finishing all of her required treatments. Having been out of work since  January, the household bills have also started to mount. I would like to give Stevie the best chance at a full remission and helping alleviate the stress of worrying about money right now would go along way in helping her focus on her health and wellbeing.  Stevie has always had a heart for others. She has worked in community service, done pro bono work and her law pratice is focused on helping low income families. Please consider donating to our friend.
