With heavy hearts, the Bow Valley mourns the loss of our beloved friend, Steven Shearon.
Steven called Banff home for 20+ years. He worked at the Banff Springs Willow Stream Spa as a massage therapist and resident DJ at all 3 nightclubs: hooDoo, Aurora & Dancing Sasquatch. He opened for huge acts such as LMFAO, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Stafford Brothers, Bad Boy Bill, and Paul Oakenfold (to name a few). Steven had a huge part in making everyone’s night memorable through music; even when it was so good that it was hard to remember.
Some of Steven’s other passions included the Toronto Maple Leafs, golfing, hanging out with his big boy dogs; Snoop and Rambo, playing bocce ball, and spending many hours making music in his beats lab.
We are asking the community to help raise $5,000 for a memorial dedication plaque on a bench along the Bow River in Banff. His plaque will be placed on a bench with his friend, Ronny Giesbrecht who passed in 2021.
Any additional funds raised will be used to cover memorial costs and/or will be donated to the Covenant Health Foundation.
Steven will be greatly missed by all who got the chance to know him and love him.
