Steph's Mission to Uganda

Hello friends and family,

This November I shall embark on a journey of a lifetime to Uganda for a two week missions trip.

Our team will be partnering with Giving Refugees Hope in Uganda to serve the people living in the refugee camp and kids living in the children's home. We will be helping widows, teaching orphans and ministering to and encouraging refugees.

GRHU helps refugees and locals in need, regardless of ethnicity, gender, or religion, by loving and giving hope through practical ways of helping. They are currently building a medical clinic enabling them to help those who are sick or injured who would otherwise not receive medical attention. Their school not only offers education to refugee children but also provides them with two meals a day. GRHU runs a training centre for women giving them the ability build economic independence as a tool to work their way out of poverty and care for their families. The children’s home run by GRHU provides orphans with a safe and caring living environment. The base cost (flights and necessary on the ground expenses) is $3,500, aside from vaccinations and other personal items required for travel.

If for some reason I am unable to go or I exceed my fundraising goal, all donations will be used to purchase supplies for the children’s home and refugee camp.
