Stem Cells for Noam
Beschermde donatie
My beautiful angel, Noam, was diagnosed with severe low-functioning Autism at 26 months old.
He has many challenges integrating himself as a physical being existing in our physical plane.
At 8 years old, Noam is non-verbal, not potty trained (still wearing diapers), aggressive (often against his younger brother) and frequently frustrated by his inability to express his needs and wants. In most areas, he is at the developmental level of a 12-18 month old, despite the fact that I believe he is extremely intelligent, simply trapped by the confines of his physical body.
(For more on this check out this video of a non-verbal severely autistic girl who learns how to express herself and is found to possess profound intelligence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMBzJleeOno )
Autism is defined as a specific set of behaviors. There is no lab test to diagnose Autism. Autism is classified as a mental health disorder in the DSM V and as such, insurance does not pay for any kind of medical treatment related to Autism.
Over the past 5 years we have undergone extensive lab testing to understand what is going on inside his body, all paid for out of pocket, as insurance will not cover it with the blanket diagnosis of "autism".
Lab testing has shown significant medical problems, including: leaky gut syndrome, gut dysbiosis, strep, clostridia, candida, viral and parasitic infections of the gut, chronic inflammation and encephalitis of the brain, impaired liver function, abnormal and impaired immune system function, neuropathy and nervous system impairment, sensory processing disorders, and low muscle tone.
Some of the more pronounced symptoms and consequences related to these problems are extreme hyperactivity; the feeling that Noam is quite literally "jumping out of his skin," seeking sensory input such as music, deep pressure, movement or running water constantly.
Stem cell therapy is now being offered to Autistic children to heal the immune system, heal the nervous system, and reverse the effects of Autism. Since Autism presents as a type of auto-immune disorder, stem cells have been successful in reversing Autism at it's core.
I have been in contact with a top University Doctor and Stem-Cell Researcher in Mexico. High quality stem cell therapy in the US is not offered. The doctors of the Monterrey University Hospital in Mexico are currently conducting a study using Stem Cells for Autism and after reviewing Noam's clinical medical history, have expressed their professional medical opinion that he is a top candidate for this treatment.
Because of his significant delays, without intensive medical treatment, he will not be able to realize his full and beautiful potential -- including expressing himself, caring for himself, establishing his own independence, having loving and meaningful relationships, and enjoying the full and bountiful quality of living that he has always deserved.
At his current pace, he will likely eventually need to be placed in a group home later in his life if he does not make significant progress. It is when I think about these things, that I turn my faith to God and trust that full and complete recovery from his condition is not only possible, but imminent and inevitable.

The cost of stem cell treatment as part of The Monterrey University Hospital study is heavily subsidized at $5,000, but still cost-prohibitive for our family, and not eligible for any insurance coverage.
Noam is my greatest hero - having lived an extremely challenging existence his entire life, never even being offered a chance to express himself and usually being treated as someone with severe mental impairment, trapped in the bounds of his own body.
Please help us give Noam a chance at a full and vibrant life -- full of love, joy, relationships, communication and expression!
We are so grateful in advance for any help you can offer to contribute to this treatment -- I believe from the bottom of my heart, that this treatment could truly change Noam's life forever and give him the chance at real joy and the life worth living that he deserves.
With love and appreciation,
