I am a single, full-time mother and have been working a full-time job and part-time job for 8 years now.
I was laid off on 3-19 from my sales position in the beauty industry and currently not allowed to do hair services under the state order. I also am very concerned if I am able to go back due to my son's lengthy history with croup & strider that puts him in ER usually 1-2 x a year. For that reason, I want to keep his exposure rate minimized to grocery stores & what not and it’s pretty hard to get to a grocery store without leaving him home alone.
I am receiving unemployment that doesn’t even cover my rent and get 355 or month for food for the two of us. We also are receiving internet essentials for free from Comcast.
I am thankful for all but still makes it hard to get by with additional bills or items needed to stay healthy & safe and make my son feel special.
