Stay Strong Santi @Great Ormond Street Hospital

Hi, my name is Claire and I am trying to raise funds to enable myself to stay in London to support my daughter Jessica and 2 grandsons Carter and Santi whilst Santi has major surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital which he might not survive.

In March, one week before her cisarian Jessica was told all her baby’s organs where in his chest cavity, his heart and lungs where squashed, they couldn’t find his liver, the planned cisarian couldn’t go ahead and baby only had 10% survival rate. Jessica was even offered an abortion at 39 weeks pregnant.

Manchester St Mary’s hospital delivered baby Santi and amazingly saved his life with surgery and many months in intensive care. Unfortunately during this Santi’s windpipe was damaged, Manchester childrens hospital took him to theatre weekly to try and stretch it but it split.

Santi’s only hope of survival now is major very risky surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital which he may not survive.

Sadly Jessica is a lone parent and has been through an herendous time over the last seven months having to fight every step of the way so Santi gets the care he needs and deserves.

Jessica and I have been Santi’s main carers whilst he has been in hospital and Ronald McDonald Charity gave us and Carter accommodation to stay in at Manchester Childrens hospital but unfortunately Great Ormond Street Hospital don’t have this facility.

I have spent weeks reading and phoning all the children's charities and speaking to various departments within Great Ormond Street Hospital but no one can help us, despite what their website says.

To give Santi the best care with one of us always at his side and to ease the stress and worry I am setting up this go fund me page to try and see if anyone can help in anyway as we have run out of options.

Santi’s admission date is the 10th October
