Statue Fund to Honor Fire Chief
Donation protected
Chief James Edgemmon has volunteered now for the Newark Volunteer Fire Dept. for 55 years. The best we can add is he has been Chief for 48-50 years of that. He is currently still responding to calls and is still the number 1 responder. He has ran hundres of fires, motor vehicle accidents and thousands of medical emergency. He has done all this with no return ever expected other than just to help his community. We came up with the idea to honor him with a statue of the picture listed on the front. It would be a life size statue of him and a child spraying a fire hose together. This is a great tribute to the Past, Present and Future. This statue will be placed either in front of the station or across the street in the city park if they allow it. He deserves this honor and we ask that you help us meet the needs to pay for it. Any extra that we raise will go to the Fire dept if thats where it is placed or to the Park to inprove the park around the statue. Thank you for your help.
