Our Mission:
We're on a quest to raise awareness of the beauty, rich history, and vast resources that Washington's great state parks have to offer. Through our journey we hope to inspire members of our generation and others to discover, explore, and protect our parks.
Our Story:
One day, we realized that we had lived in Washington for quite sometime and had only seen a very small bit of it. We decided right then and there that this needed to change. We chose to visit every single state park in Washington to ensure that we would have to make it to each corner of this great land.
We have been on this quest for almost two years now (as documented on our blog
www.washingtonstateparkstour.com) and delightedly came up with an idea for the summer of 2015. We are planning a road trip to see the parks that are the farthest from our hometown and to experience them in the window of six weeks.
The Details:
We will be volunteering in our parks as we go along as well as blogging, vlogging, instagramming and using other modes of social interaction. We'll be going on adventures along the way, finding new restaurants, meeting new people, and exploring the towns around the parks.
A trip of this magnitude requires us to build a budget to account for gas, camping fees, food and other supplies, which is where your help comes in! In addition to us stuffing spare dollars in a tin can, we are setting up this gofundme for those of you who are generous enough to sponsor our adventure!
