Start It Right cic Tandem Skydiving Challenge

Hi all,

I will attempting one of the most exciting and nerve-wrecking things I’ve ever done. I will be skydiving for a Croydon-based youth-led organisation of which I am a Managing Director of called Start It Right cic. 

I’m jumping with North London Skydiving Centre to help raise funds for this very worthwhile cause. My jump is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 24 March 2022 (weather permitting) and if you could please spare a few pounds to sponsor me it would be much appreciated.

I’ll be honest - I hadn’t been expecting to take on this challenge so soon even though it has been something I’ve always aspired to do. I realise now the reason was because I hadn’t found something that had motivated me enough to want to do it until now.  

Start It Right cic has already been a rewarding experience despite just being in the works since May 2020. Being a Managing  Director of a youth organisation is an incredibly exciting prospect and I can’t wait to officially launch our services in early 2021. 

Since the epidemic young people have had to deal with even more challenges than before with many experiencing isolation and poor mental health as well as  missing out on their education. 

Our aim to provide exciting youth projects, holiday play schemes,  community events and a mentoring programme called 'Thrive 'N' Flex for young people ages 8+ in the Borough of Croydon.

It is our vision to provide a network of opportunities to support our members in raising their aspirations and enable them to make a positive contribution within their communities.

To ensure we can expand our services to reach as many local young people as possible, I’m going to go pace to pace with gravity to ensure we can continue our youth provision in the future. 

All funds will go towards the cost of running the organisation including providing our young people access to resources both in house and online for a number of our projects. 

We will also use the funds to provide our young people to go on educational and recreational trips where they can further explore different communities and cultures. 

I’m hoping to achieve my £1,000 target before my skydiving challenge takes place.
