Standing with Eric and His Family

Our friend Eric needs us, and his family does too.

Eric was recently diagnosed with colon cancer and stage 4 liver cancer. It's news no one is ever ready to hear, and it has turned life upside down for Eric, his wife Corina, and their two girls, Lanie (a high school senior) and Carly (a third grader).

I've had the privilege of working alongside Eric for almost 15 years. Anyone who knows him knows what kind of person he is: kind, dependable, and someone who shows up for the people around him. Now it's our turn to show up for him.

The months ahead will be demanding. Eric and Corina are traveling to both Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and the University of Michigan to meet with specialists and find the best possible treatment plan. That means long drives, flights, hotel stays, meals away from home, and a lot of time off work, all on top of medical bills that add up fast. Through it all, they are doing everything they can to keep life as normal as possible for their girls. Lanie is in her senior year, a year full of milestones that should be celebrated, and Carly is just in third grade. We want this family to be able to focus on Eric's health and on each other, not on how to cover the next trip.

Every dollar raised will go directly to Eric and his family to help with travel to Mayo Clinic and the University of Michigan, lost income from time away from work, medical costs, and everyday living expenses during this time.
