Hi. I am Jo-Anne M Andersen. This fundraiser is for legal fees for Retired Gunnery Sergeant Anthony P Donato EOD Specialist who needs our help. He is known to family and friends as Tony. Tony served in the US Marines for 20 years. He entered while still in high school. He did three tours while active as well as disarming ordinants left behind, from the Vietnam war. While there, he took part in finding remains and was able to give the families closure. He worked closely with the Secret Service sweeping for incindiary devices at the GOP convention, to insure the safety of Donald J Trump and his people as he campaigned for president. Marines don't choose where they go, they go where their orders send them. He worked with children in Japan. Tony completed his time in the military as an instructor. He wrote a manual that is used today in EOD training. While serving his tours Tony suffered the loss of friends, right before his eyes, leading to severe PTSD. He has depression, flashbacks and night terrors. He also suffers from the effects of Percussive TBIs and multiple physical malidies due to his service. Tony has been incarcerated for over 16 months. His PTSD got the best of him and he had a break with reality. He doesn't remember the incident and has yet to receive the proper care. The legal process moves very slowly and is very costly. Tony stands to lose everything he worked and fought for. Many of our service members experience the after effects of the oath they took and the result of their service. It is sad that this is so. It is our hope that we can raise the funds to ease Tony's legal burden
