Stand with Hever: Legal Aid for His Release

Friends and family,

My brother Hever has been sent to the Montgomery Processing Center in Conroe, TX. As you all know, he was recently on a missions trip and on his way back last Wednesday on April 30th he was held by ICE at the Houston airport. My brother is a legal resident alien, brought to the U.S. when he was just 3 years old.

Initially ICE requested certified court documents of the judgements from Hever’s past (years 2013-2015, cases that have long been closed) with the help of some great friends we got those and immediately sent them to ICE, still though, after receiving them they decided to continue detaining him.

I’m asking for your help in raising funds to hire a lawyer in the Houston/ Conroe area to help defend him.

Hever has always been honest about where the Lord rescued him from and since then he has lived and walked in integrity. He gave his life to Christ and never turned back, he has even helped run a home for men addicted to drugs and living on the streets. He has served faithfully in the ministry of Victory Outreach for almost 10 years building up and discipling the youth and more recently began his own Bible study ministry The Father’s Heart. He is not the same man he was 12 years ago, everywhere he goes he shares about the love that changed his life. Even now he’s ministering to the men in the detention center having services with over 22 of them.

The ICE authorities have not given us any information besides saying he has a hearing on May 14th where a judge will decide if he’s deported and that he should get a lawyer.

Hever has asked for prayers and letters of impact or character witness from pastors and leaders. I have began to look for immigration lawyers and if anyone can help donate for the legal fees we would greatly appreciate it.

We know this is an attack from the enemy as he was just in Nicaragua on Mission, spreading the gospel and providing resources to the poorest communities.

We know that God is with him and that this will be another amazing testimony of His power.
