Noah's Leukemia Fight: Barri Needs Our Help

Spende geschützt
It's some of the worst news a parent can hear: Your child has leukemia. Our friend Barri unfortunately heard this only a few months ago when her son Noah was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. It was discovered through Noah's random lab work, and has come as a complete shock to everyone.

Barri is now pouring all of her energy into supporting Noah, who until recently was studying engineering as a freshman at the University of Maryland. He is undergoing an aggressive, six-month course of chemotherapy that will include unpredictable, debilitating side effects. She is with him at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, and it’s been a great comfort to Noah to have his mom by his side during this uncertain journey.

While she supports Noah, she has had to step back from her job and is struggling to make ends meet. We are Barri's friends and family, and she and Noah need our support during this difficult period. Can you please help?

For those who don't know Barri, she has devoted her career to caring for others, both as a physical therapist and as a 20-year career researcher at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where she helped establish the Center's revolutionary Gait Laboratory to help military service members, veterans, & family members who have suffered the loss of limbs or other injuries optimize their mobility (watch this quick video to see Barri's work in action and how it has helped hundreds of injured troops).

Whatever you can contribute is appreciated!
