Let's all take a moment and pray.
TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. - PROVERBS 3:5-6
Let me introduce you to my Uncle Jim, the man who gave me away at my wedding in honor of my daddy. He has always been a huge supporter in my life and is always there when I need him. He has always been a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, a hug, a laugh when needed, and so many more things. Today, he needs us to come together to support him in his time of need.
My name is Jim Sherman. I am a Veteran of the United States Army. I was diagnosed in October 2024 with Stage 4 Lung Cancer, and it is now in my hip, spine, and kidneys. I am currently undergoing chemo treatments and am unable to continue to work.
I have always worked hard and took pride in my job as a Security Guard. I earned several certificates and made a career protecting people and the companies that I was assigned to. I have exhausted all of my savings and have received some help from my church and community.
I have always been a hard worker and maintained a job and my own home. I am trying to get some assistance with my bills so I am able to keep my truck so I can continue my treatments as long as my body will allow me to and so I can spend the time I have left in this world in my own home.
Thank you all for your kind hearts in my time of need.
