With heavy hearts, we share the sudden and unfair passing of Honey Katragadda, a 24-year-old from Vijayawada, India, who had just begun her professional software journey in Maine after completing her Master’s from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. She had been working for the past three months, full of dreams and determination to build a bright future for her family in India.

She was the only child of her parents—their only source of hope and happiness.

Recently diagnosed with arthritis, she had just started medication. Despite feeling weak over the past week, she continued working hard—until tragedy struck unexpectedly.

Honey previously lived with her friends in Connecticut, and after securing a job, she moved to Maine, USA, while her parents remained in India. Her father recently suffered an accident and is now unable to recognize people or understand his surroundings, making this loss even more devastating. With her mother now left alone with no financial support, we are coming together to help.

We (Honey’s Friends) are organizing this fundraiser to support Honey’s family in this difficult time. The funds will be transferred to Honey’s mother in India to cover:
