Stand by Chelsea and Emmy

For the past 4 ½ months, my cousin Chelsea has been by her baby’s side in the hospital, navigating an incredibly difficult and emotional journey. Her little one has been facing medical challenges that require constant care, monitoring, surgery and now—more surgery. Baby Emersyn was born at 24 weeks at 1 pound 6 ounces. She has already conquered so much but is needing some more help so that she’s able to get home.

As of this week, they are being transported to a different hospital to receive the next stage of treatment. This transfer comes with more unknowns, more time away from home, work and even greater emotional and financial strain on her little family.

Chelsea (Mommy) and Connie(Grammy) has not left baby Emmy’s side. They’ve been living in the hospital, advocating for her child, and trying to stay strong through every update, every procedure, and every long night. This journey has been exhausting and overwhelming, but she’s doing it all out of love and hope for her baby’s healing.

We’re raising funds to help ease the burden—whether it’s travel expenses, meals, lodging near the new hospital, or just giving her the ability to focus fully on her baby without the added weight of financial stress.
