Stafford Riverway Link - Basin & Bridge Project

Stafford Riverway Link is a non-profit organisation whose volunteers are aiming to restore a historical link, created in the early 1800s and operating until the 1920s, between the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal and the River Sow. This will enable narrowboats to once again navigate into the centre of Stafford, a boost also for local tourism.
Work is well advanced on restoring the mooring basin/marina and planning approval has been given to complete this, open the Canal into the Basin and construct a footbridge over this opening.
Funding is needed for the building materials to complete the Basin walls, ecological, wildlife friendly landscaping around the site and footpaths suitable for the disabled.
We want to recreate a piece of Stafford's history for the benefit of all local people.
Your kind donation, for which we are grateful, will help to make this happen.
Thank you!
