Rebuild Sonoran Sky's Outdoor Classroom!

Over Memorial Day weekend, 2014, vandals entered the Sonoran Sky Outdoor Classroom and set fire to our newly installed picnic tables and benches, causing an incredible amount of damage. Most of the new tables and several of the new benches have been burned or melted, and areas of the the paver stones are damaged as well.

Many community members and organizations have expressed desire to contribute financially to restoring what was lost. In response to these generous requests, we are taking donations using this gofundme.com campaign with the goal of rebuilding the patio and seating area as quickly as possible while continuing on schedule with the raised garden and amphitheater construction. All contributions to this fire fund will be used towards the completion of the Outdoor Classroom. As always, we could not do it without you.

This terrible event saddens us all, especially after the excitement, dedication, and hard work from so many of us this year. However, we are not going to let this small setback stop our progress. We are committed to education, and will take the necessary steps to ensure a safe and fun learning space for our school community.
