Thank you for taking a moment of your time to consider a contribution to the Kady Initiative. Our goal has always been to instill hope and belief into kids by encouraging them to stay driven in school and their various talents. We help promote good health, and also the well-being of the children in our program through athletics and continued schooling, which we believe can help lead them towards other opportunities in life.
Since we began our GoFundMe initiative three years ago, we have raised over $25,000, and that amount continues to climb. These funds enabled us to run our first athletic camp in Nigeria three summers ago. Our past summer camps were equipped with athletic apparel, school supplies, and gear purchased with the support of our GoFundMe patrons and backers. We try to make each event as empowering, enlightening, and as fun as possible, while providing insight on how to become the best possible version of yourself, while chasing your dreams. In the past, we’ve had activities such as dancing, motivational speeches, drills, and nutrition, which have all been incorporated into our 3-day event, which at its core, is meant to Inspire. This summer, we plan to expand our vision by supporting more kids while also creating a platform where we can follow up with the kids weekly. One of the ways we will go about this is by having a stable coach or host family in Nigeria that can help monitor and guide them. We recognize that each year the kids are growing without any form of supervision; thus, we want to correct that aspect this coming summer. My crew and I will be traveling to Nigeria in July 2020, and all possible donations will go towards our program.
We are beyond grateful for everyone who had supported us in the past, especially organizations such as the Milwaukee Bucks, NBA Cares Jr. NBA and Pure Heart Initiative. Additionally, we would like to thank those individuals who have helped make this possible in the previous years. We look forward to working with more like-minded brands that align with our vision and who can help us achieve our common goals. All donations will go towards the program and will be used to help these kids become the best version of themselves by teaching them to be role models for others in their communities. It is also essential for them to remain focused on their health priorities in an attempt to help get them towards their goals and dreams.
