3 Peaks Challenge Climb for Oxford EIS

3 Peak Challenge!

Oxford Early Intervention Service (EIS)
are partaking in our annual sponsored climb on 31st January 2020. We are aiming to climb 3,400 metres collectively, equivalent to the 3 Peaks ( Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike) at an indoor climbing wall in Oxfordshire. This will be climbed by people who have been supported by EIS, their friends and family, and staff members.

EIS is a community mental health team,  working with people aged 14-65 who have unusual and distressing experiences, also known as 'psychosis' - our service supports people with these experiences, with the aim of avoiding hospital admissions, aiding people's recovery and avoiding more long-term mental health difficulties in the future.

EIS work in lots of different ways to help people recover, one of the ways we support this is promoting physical health and a way to meet new people via our indoor climbing group, in partnership with Coasters at Response.  The sponsored climb is aiming to raise the money needed to continue the group (and another group run by EIS).

All monies raised go to Oxford Coasters & EIS Climb Up Project and CAMHA, Care and Action for Mental Health in Africa www.camha.org. You can sponsor any of our dedicated climbers, or the Team as a whole.
