My name is Iriany. I’m originally from a small pueblo in Valle De Mezquital, Hidalgo, Mexico. I come from the Otomi / Ñhañhu people. I currently reside on unceded Kumeyaay territory.

I'm kindly welcoming you to support my journey as a runner and as one of the coordinators for the Peace and Dignity prayer that is happening this year. 

This is an intercontinental intertribal prayer run that marked the beginning of the prophecy of the eagle, quetzal, and condor in 1992.

Since then the prayer run has repeated every 4 years.

“In the 2024 Peace and Dignity Journeys, participants will embark on a seven-month prayer run from Fairbanks, Alaska, and Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, converging at El Cuaca, Colombia. This journey emphasizes the commitment to prayer, underlining the obligation to strengthen spiritual connections among Indigenous Peoples across Abya Yala(Western Hemisphere) . The runners' dedication transcends geographical boundaries, underscoring the imperative nature of fostering unity and respect among Indigenous Peoples ”

My commitment is to run from Alaska to Colombia over the next 7 months. This is my ofrenda; my prayer for all life. 

Your financial contributions will support me in preparation for, during, and after the run. I will use your support to buy gear, pay bills, and have pocket money for toiletries and personal items. I will also have some travel expenses to arrive to Alaska and fly back from Colombia and will need some help integrating back into this life when I return in December.
