Mele's Recovery Fund

My name is Mele. For years I have suffered from chronic stomach pain, My doctors have done every test imaginable including exploritory surgery for years with no prognosis and have just been living in my bed with a heating pad and pain medicine. Through the years I had started to lose a massive amount of weight do to my stomach pain when I ate. It had gotten even worse this past year that I was getting no nutrition and I was weak and nauseas all the time that I was put on continuous high nasuea meds that they use for chemo because whatever I ate I would throw up because of the severe nausea. These last 2 weeks my doctor had ordered some blood work  to check a few things out and it turned out I had Hypokalema which were at the levels of life threatning.  The hospital sent an police officer to my house to make sure I was ok and alive. I told the officer that I was fine. He then left and then about 2 mins later he came back and said my doctor said that I needed to come in RIGHT NOW, he didnt know how I was even walking,living,breathing. They had an ambulence sent but i just told Darren to come home since he had just left for work 15 mins ago. They immediately hooked me up to an IV to bring my potassium levels back up. But I was still in bad condition and they had to admit me into the hospital. I was there a week, with so many issues. As you could imagine I could barely walk with out blacking out due to my hypokalema and severe male nutrtition. They originally put a feeding tube from my nose all the way to my stomach which was the worst and most uncomfortbale pain ever. But they decided the better solution was to put in a TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition) rather the nose tube due to the fact that food in my stomach causes massive pain. TPN goes into my upper arm to my heart, and still recieves the nutrition. 

Parenteral nutrition (PN) is feeding a person intravenously, bypassing the usual process of eating and digestion. The person receives nutritional formulae that contain nutrients such as glucose, amino acids, lipids and added vitamins and dietary minerals. It is called total parenteral nutrition (TPN) or total nutrient admixture (TNA) when no significant nutrition is obtained by other routes.

People with PN can eat with machine but people with TPN are fully suffient on TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition)   But in my case my doctors want me to try and eat extremely ittle and slowly build up so im not on this machine forever! and the TPN will provide all my nutrients if it causes to much pain to eat. 

During my stay I fainted 3x just walking to the bathroom. And my blood sugar was so low that they had told me I almost at coma levels and I had to eat this nasty tube thing that was pure sugar and made me feel sooooo sick. 

To say the least its kinda scary when 8 doctors talk to you privately and ask if they can be completely honest with you and they all tell you, if you dont get better you may only have a month left to live,any time of day, sleeping, walking, anything. But I do believe that this happend for a reason and it was Gods grace that brought me to this meeting with my health, I believe I am still here for a reason and I know he wants to use me through all the trials he has put me through. 

As you can imagine my medical bills are pilling and Darren has been taking as much time as he canto help me but I know we cant do this on our own, but I have faith that the Lord will provide the means. So if the Lord is speaking to your heart to help out in any way, even if its just $5 everything helps. Especailly prayer! My 3 girls have been through so much whom most of you know we lost my late husband in 2008 at age 25. So please if you can help me get towards my goal of getting the help I need we are forever and greatly appreciative!!
