One of Our Own
We have all seen and heard the images from the catastrophic flooding which continues to ravage the city of Houston, TX.
Unfortunately, one of our own is experiencing the Houston flooding first hand. She has already lost both of her vehicles and may end up losing her home once the waters subside.
Shima Abasaghi has been part of the SP Industries Family since August 2008. She has played an integral part for Wilmad-LabGlass as a Regional Sales Manager based in Houston, TX.
Shima, her husband, and two small children have been safely evacuated to a friend's house to ride out the storm until it is deemed safe to return to their home.
Unfortunately, if the waters continue to rise, they may end up losing everything.
We are not sure what the total damage or loss will be but we do know they will need a lot of assistance in getting back on their feet.
At this time, we are asking for any financial assistance you may be able to provide by donating to our Go Fund Me page. The monies will assist them with having clean clothes to wear, having food to eat, and to assist with monthly payments for her home even though it may not be livable and repairs when needed.
With recent memories of Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Sandy, we know the road to recovery will be a long and grueling one but maybe with a little bit of help from all of us, it will just be a little easier.
