Hi, my name is Rita,

I’m 23 years old, and I’ve dedicated my life to building solutions where systems have failed – for people who fall through the cracks, for voices that go unheard, and for global health equity.

Despite my own long and painful medical journey – including years of misdiagnoses and the eventual discovery of multiple rare and one terminal condition ROHHAD Syndrome – I’ve turned my experience into action. I believe deeply that no one should be left behind in a healthcare system that forgets how to care.

I work 100% voluntarily in many areas – as a case manager, public speaker, educator, and initiator of several social and health-based organizations. One of my heart projects is ritalaila.com – a platform and future think tank that aims to bridge the gap between rare diseases, research, social impact, and systemic change through innovative advocacy, education, and design.

⭐️ What I do:

• I support individuals with rare, undiagnosed, or misunderstood diseases through voluntary case management and system navigation.

• I give talks and workshops on inclusion, systemic awareness, and healthcare inequality – often unpaid.

• I am currently building initiatives and structures for global health advocacy and medical research, especially in the field of longevity and autoimmune diseases.

• I connect institutions, scientists, and affected communities to rethink how health systems should work – more inclusive, more fair, more human.

⭐️Why I need your help:

All this work is self-funded. I invest every spare hour and resource into pushing NGO projects forward. But as these grow, so do the needs – for travel, materials, outreach tools, translation work, and even the mental and physical costs of sustained advocacy.
