In early February, Spencer began experiencing severe swelling and pain in his right arm. After several days, he was submitted to Swedish Medical Center where he was diagnosed with the a seemingly acute case of Paget-Schroetter syndrome - rare disease that causes blood clots to form in the deep veins of the arms. Doctors have discovered multiple blood clots in his chest migrating into his lungs. In order to stop this from further happening and take him off of high risk alert for heart attack and stroke, doctors will be removing an extra pair of ribs that he was born with, which are pressing down on his veins causing the clots.
Though Spencer has basic medical insurance, the rareness of his disease and the complexity of the treatment will still incur significant medical expenses and put him out of work for an extended period of time.
We are asking for you to make a donation to reduce the stress of the financial burden that will be put on him so that he can focus on recovering.
If you know anything about Spencer, you know he would be the first to spring to the side of any of his friends or family. Even if he didn't have the means himself, he'd find some way to be of help to those he cares for. Anything helps!
We are so thankful so far for everyone - from the doctors and nurses of Swedish to the friends and family who've shown up with food and jokes.
Peace and love!
