I need your help!
In February 2020, I will be traveling to a small village in South Africa called Kurland Village. What will I be doing you ask? Over the course of about a week, we will set out to complete a volunteer trip and continue the on going efforts to improve Kurland Village.
In 2018, Sound of a Smile program was able to refurbish an entire preschool, two playgrounds and repaint a public sports facility in their time. Also, they were able to create afternoon sessions with the children where we can interact and help encourage healthy living, continued educational and personal growth.
Although the few groups that traveled in 2018 were able to accomplish so much in the little time they were there, it was only a small percentage of what we can help with in this small village. There is still plenty of work and help needed!
So, that is where you come in! With your donations, it will not only help me get there but it will also help fund the purchasing of school supplies and other necessary equipment for our time there. I thank you all in advance for your consideration and am so grateful to have this opportunity!
