Sorellina Employee Relief- Tip Now, Drink Later!

To our beloved Guests & Friends:
Choosing to close Sorellina last Sunday morning was by far the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make. Telling my 30 hardworking, loyal employees they no longer have jobs was the hardest message I’ve ever had to deliver. Now, like most other restaurateurs who were forced to make similar business decisions with the safety of our employees and our community in mind, I am faced with the struggle of trying to support our family of employees in the meantime.
With the entire service industry devastated over the past week, I have seen many different examples of ways that restaurants are looking after their own. While I am continuing to provide our employees with fresh groceries & prepared food, I know financially these times are tougher than ever. Restaurant employees rely solely on tips, which are nonexistent under these circumstances.
I have decided to create our “Tip Now, Drink Later!” fundraiser where 100% of donations will go directly & equally to our hourly & tipped Sorellina employees. I kindly ask anyone who is willing and able, in any amount as little or big as you are comfortable, to please “tip your waitstaff now” while we are closed, and enjoy a drink on me when our doors reopen.
Sorellina would not be what it is today without all of you, our friendly neighbors & loyal guests; nor without our employees, who ensure every day they are providing you with the best hospitality experience possible. I understand that these are difficult times for our entire community, and as a community we will get through this. A successful community is built on paying it forward, and through “Tip Now, Drink Later!” we will continue to do just that.
