Sonya's Lyme Disease Medical Fund

My name is Sonya McLeod, and I live in Cody, Wyoming. Many of you know me, but you may not know my story in depth.  I am usually a very private person in things like this that are open to lots of people, but I have been encouraged to step out in faith in this way. So here goes.

I have had unexplained health issues for the past 20 years off and on with symptoms like migraines/headaches, neck and joint pain, lymphatic and nervous system issues, and skeletal and muscular pain. Digestive issues and my ileocecal valve have plagued me over the last 7 years. Recently it has been confusion/brain fog, throbbing leg pains, lack of energy, and, in general, a debilitating cycle that's gone downhill in the last year.

This past summer I visited a place called Sanoviv Medical Institute for their detox program to try to get a clue as to what was going on with me.  There I was put on a path of discovery as to what I have been suffering from. From extensive blood work I've had done, under the direction of my Doctor from Sanoviv, we just discovered that I have chronic Lyme Disease along with a host of co-infections. I am praising God that I finally know what I am up against! I just found out these results Monday (October 15, 2018), and now I am very eager to get going on my treatment.

I thank God for sustaining me and my family these past several months especially, in addition to the past year, and really my whole adult life.  And, I praise Him for directing me all of these years to be proactive in my health in a holistic manner (diet, supplements, self-care, etc.). These steps have allowed me to survive better with this than I would have been able to do otherwise, I believe. However, this year has been the hardest I have had in all of my health journey, with daily life becoming harder and harder to manage. By mid-afternoon, I am a zombie and on the sofa with a host of debilitating pains and extreme fatigue.  I know God is with me, and has a plan and purpose in all of this journey, and to Him I cling. I am reminded of Psalm 143:8, which I would commend to you for praying alongside me. It says, "Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life."

Since God has used Sanoviv and they both know my history and have found the source of my ailments, I am seeking treatment there under their Lyme & Chronic Infectious Disease Program beginning in late October/November.  As you can imagine, it is not cheap and they require payment up front. Plus it takes time to even get it submitted to  my insurance, who will not cover much (if any) of it at all since it is a more natural/holistic route in a different country. And on top of that, we've had a host of medical bills over the past year (CT Scan, extensive Bloodwork, treatment for neck pain/headaches, and going to Sanoviv over three months ago to start figuring out what was going on).
