Queridos Amigos y Familia:
Esperamos de todo corazón que estén sanos y a salvo en sus casas en el país donde se encuentren, tratando de sobrellevar esta pandemia de la mejor manera.
Nuestros corazones están muy tristes por la situación que esta pasando nuestra querida amiga SONIA CRUZ , graduada del Colegio De La Salle de Bogotá, Colombia en 1993.
En este momento vive en New York, con su mamá que viajó desde Colombia para acompañarla en estos duros momentos de la vida. Sonia tiene Cáncer de ovario estado 3a, y esta en quimioterapias. Al no tener trabajo las cuentas de comida, arriendo y teléfono son extremadamente altas para una mujer sola en NY y con cáncer, su papá desde Colombia le ayuda con algo, pero el ya esta retirado y con el cambio de pesos colombianos a dólares , el dinero no rinde.
A esta situación se le suma que esta en tratamiento para la Depresión, y con la situación de encierro que estamos viviendo en estos momentos a personas como ella no les va bien para lidiar con la depresión. Ella necesita de nuestra ayuda cuanto antes para poder vivir con un poco de tranquilidad por lo menos en la parte económica.
Con varios amigos Lasallistas estamos uniendo esfuerzos para darle la mano a nuestra querida amiga . Cualquier donación sera recibida con mucho cariño, Sonia les estará enteramente agradecida por querer ayudarla.

Dear Friends and Family:
We hope with all our hearts that you are healthy and safe in your homes in the country where you are, trying to cope with this pandemic in the best way.
Our hearts are very sad for the situation that our dear friend SONIA CRUZ is going through, a graduate of Colegio De La Salle in Bogotá, Colombia in 1993.
She lives in New York, with her mother who traveled from Colombia to accompany her in these hard moments of life. Sonia has stage 3 ovarian cancer, and she is undergoing chemotherapy. With no job food, rent and telephone are extremely high for a single woman in NY and cancer, her father from Colombia helps her with something, but he is already retired and with the change of Colombian pesos to dollars, money is not enough.
To this situation is added that he is undergoing treatment for Depression, and with the situation of confinement that we are living at the moment, people like her are not doing well to deal with depression. She needs our help as soon as possible to be able to live with a little peace of mind at least in the economic part.
With several Lasallistas friends we are joining efforts to help our dear friend Sonia. Any donation will be received with much affection, Sonia will be entirely grateful to you for wanting to help her.
