Solly needs to Raise the Roof!

Solly Stables has been working tirelessly since 2010 fixing up our much loved barn. The barn (built in the 50s) is home to horses owned by your neighbors in the NE Phila. It has been loved by many and still is enriching the lives of today's youth with the power and presence of the horse. We are trying to spruce up our property and make then barn whole again. A roof, fencing, stall fronts, general maintence, new riding equipment for our 4H/lesson horses and program, are all needed to help us move forward with our plans to restore this great barn to its former glory.
Solly Stable Rider Association mission is to provide a unique equestrian experience, building self-confidence, fostering independence and caring for horses by promoting compassion and learning through riding and educational experiences.
SSRA strives to achieve this mission regardless of a person's ability to contribute financially.
Through our 4H program, we want to reach out to kids, teenagers, and adults. NO barn seems willing to have kids around these days. No one wants to take the time to teach them. Well, we do. SSRA is dedicated to teaching kids the love of horses, the rewards of hard work, that there is beauty in our world, and that living is worth it.
Helping someone who needs a new outlook experience the healing power of the horse spirit is secondary part of our mission, and the most powerful!! We view it as a community event, just being around horses lifts your spirits!!
Solly Stable is a Fairmount Park property operated by Solly Stable Riders Association, located in Fox Chase, Phila., effective July 2010. We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization.
