Power to the people!
If you’ve ever been to the Flyin’ Zion, you know it’s a powerful place. And we don’t want that power to come from coal. We would like to make the switch and have our electricity made by the sun and set up a 7-kilowatt, grid-tie, net-metering solar power system, and we need your help. The ranch needs electricity to pump the Virgin River water up to our hilltop for our permaculture projects, to our lower vegetable gardens, and for the community well. There is also a big need for power to electrify our art studios for welding equipment, jewelry making, woodworking, and ceramics, not to mention the community kitchen which feeds us and all of our visitors.
As a community of like-minded individuals looking for a more earth-friendly existence. we want our sustainable and organic farming operation to align with our beliefs and environmental goals - and we need you all to be a part of this vision! The Flyin’ Zion Ranch has been our home, our community, our inspiration and education for decades, and for the very first time we are asking for monetary aid to help this vision continue for many more generations to come. This amazing place thrives on the energy you all bring to the ranch, so let’s all come together to make that other kind of energy come from the right place, too. Let’s solarize the Flyin’ Z!
