Support Sola Lucy Staff! Organized by Lucy Ross

During these uncertain times, I've taken steps to ensure the safety of our staff and consignment community by closing shop. Sola Lucy, like so many other small businesses, has had to shut its doors resulting in my employees being without work.
My staff are all strong women - artists, students, mothers - but most importantly, my good friends. I am reaching out to our community to ask for help FOR THEM. 100% of the proceeds will be equally shared among our small and talented staff. My team is a family, and I want to make sure they can continue to pay rent, buy groceries, cover medical costs, and maintain some measure of stability in the coming months. It is my goal that when Sola Lucy comes back to serve the loyal East Bay community, I may do so with all my staff still in place. I would not have made it this far without them.
Customers and clients have supported me for over 26 years - a woman of color in small business - who in turn have supported an evolving staff of young women. Many of you have walked through my doors at Sola Lucy and have been greeted by someone who now needs a helping hand. Any contribution will go a long way towards relief.
We're looking forward to getting back to business and celebrating the change in season. With the impact of the COVID-19 shutdown, it is still unclear as to what extent our business will be affected. We are now forced to make changes to our daily habits and routines, and we have to believe these decisions will be for the best in the coming months. We will get through these uncertain times together.
Thank you for reading and please consider donating. As we say in fashion, "What goes around, comes around!" We hope to see all of you again very soon. Take care and stay safe. Thank you to everyone who has supported Sola Lucy over the years. I couldn't have done it without you.
