Rising housing association rents and service charges trap people in poverty and widen the wealth gap. We say enough is enough. It's time to stop the greed.

While housing associations have an operating surplus of £4.4 billion, individuals and families struggle with soaring rents and uncapped service charges.

SHAC's Unfair and Uncapped campaign makes a clear demand for change. Housing associations must no longer prioritise profiteering over their tenants' and residents’ financial, physical and mental well-being.

Like our member Ayesha:

"I am a single parent. It is the summer holidays. The pressure is terrible. My arrears are mounting. When I get paid, everything is sucked up by our bills which have just gone up and up."

SHAC helps people like Ayesha through peer support and campaigning. But we need funds to cover the costs of materials such as banners, leaflets and placards.

Help us challenge this unfair system and demand an immediate freeze on rent increases plus a cap on service charges.
