Smith Family-Harvey Relief Fund

In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, how does one begin to ask for assistance when so many other people have experienced such massive loss as well? For everyone living on the Texas/Louisiana coastline, the recovery ahead is enormous. This GoFundMe account has been set up for my sister Candace Smith. I am her older sister, Tiffani Rudder. She and her husband have 3 children, a cat, and a dog.  They live in the Sugar Land/Houston area and, like many others, their home and vehicle have been flooded. The funds raised from this account will go towards:
1. gutting/cleaning,
2. sheetrock and wall repair,
3. flooring,
4. cabinetry,
5. appliances, and
6. other related necessities.
My sister and her family are still under mandatory evacuation and have not been able to return to their home due to high water retention. Their first floor has been exposed to water for nearly a week now and, as you can imagine, mold is a great concern.
