Small town laundromat hurt by fire.

Hi, my name is Jesse and my aunt's laundromat caught fire on 6/9/2022. It is the only laundromat for 60 miles and our small community depends on it being functional. It is located between the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and the Rosebud Sioux Resevation. People drive 40 miles or more, so it is not only our community that is affected by this. Suzie has owned it for the last 14 years, but has run it for the last 20 years. It is the only thing she has for income and could not afford insurance for it.

It did damage all the dryers, but all the washers are ok. Structurally the building is ok.

It could have been much worse and we appreciate the person who walked by to see the smoke and called the Police. We also appreciate the local Volunteer Fire Dept for getting to it so quickly and keeping the damage to a minimum.

The funds would be used to purchase material to rebuild the damaged walls and cieling, purchage new dryers, install new wiring/lighting.
