LMS Sleeping Baby Appeal

LMS Sleeping Baby Appeal is a fundraiser that was set up by myself Nicola Almond in memory of her son Leon & daughter Maddison - who where born sleeping.

I lost my son Leon when i was 21 weeks pregnant in October 2013, I set up the appeal to build a Sleeping Baby Suite at Arrowe Park Hospital, Wirral where Leon was born. In June 2014 I lost my daughter Maddison at 28 weeks pregnant. When I had both of my angels there was no specific suite at the hospital so this was the goal I set myself. I wanted other parents to be able to grieve and spend quality time with their baby. In February 2014 with help from friends and family we raised over £3000 towards the suite and have since gone on to raise enough to make the dream a reality.

On 14th September 2018 the Butterfly Suite officially opened on the Maternity Unit at Arrowe Park Hospital, Wirral. We donated money and furnished the suite.
