My name is Tabitha Jane, and my partner Paul Nicholls had an incredible idea to raise money to help children's mental health and save lives by preventing self-harm and suicide through The Crystal Kingdom Social Enterprise Social Enterprise. In 2005, he appeared in a music video for Pendulums Slam single, which had millions of views. I believe it caught so much attention because he ripped his shirt off and danced like he didn't care. Being overweight, he demonstrated not worrying about what others think and doing what he loved (he is affectionately known as slam-man). The message of The Crystal Kingdom is to believe 'you are amazing just as you are.

So, on Friday, 28th October 2022, as a sponsored event, Paul aka Slam-man, will be reenacting the music video in London. We need everyone's support, donating as little as £1 and sharing with friends, family and all your social media networks. Everyone is invited to watch as the exact location will be revealed at 9 am on the 28th of October, 2022.

The overall purpose is to reduce suicide and self-harm in children and young adults by early intervention through reading workshops. These workshops are based on the children's novel he wrote and published in 2018, The Magical Secret of the Crystal Kingdom, which is brilliant, and, I think, is a cross between Harry Potter and the Lion Witch and the Wardrobe.

Sadly Paul lost his brother, who tragically took his own life aged 25, which is one of the main reasons he wants to reduce this to zero. I know of many stories like this, including my best friend's brother doing the same. I keep hearing stories where young people with so much life ahead of them, either take their own life or harm themselves, and we MUST stop this.

He wants every state school to have access to these workshops free of charge, so we need to raise money to kick start this by delivering 150 workshops to key stage 2 primary school children over the next 12 months. Every child will receive a pack with a copy of the book to continue reading, a crystal, an activity book and colouring pencils.
