SJGCC needs a splashpad!
What is a splashpad?
A Splashpad, also known as spray ground, or water playground is a zero-depth water play area, that could be adapted to suit our current kiddie pool space. In addition to low operational and maintenace expenses, a splash pad offers many benefits for our community:
*Enhances and complements our existing pool facility
*Provides value as a safe and fun family activity, across all age groups, including grandparents
*Increases re-sale value by providing amenities commonly offered in new developments
*Encourages physical activity, leisure and entertainment
*Increases opportunities for social interactions among neighbors
Why fundraise?
While SJGCC CDD fees could potentially cover the costs of such a structure, we want to respect the fact that this is a new capital project, and off-set some of the expense through fundraising. Ultimately, the more we are able to fundraise, the better the design and attractiveness of the space. We are working with several companies to get multiple design options and will post those when available. For now, we ask for you to make a financial donation to support this cause and to participate in upcoming fundraising events.
