From the Family of Sandy Trammell:
On January 28th, Sandy went into surgery to have a hysterectomy and was released on January 30th. While at home expecting to have a normal recovery, Sandy fell ill and was re-admitted to the hospital in Sweetwater, Tx where she was then life-flighted to Lubbock UMC on February 5th for immediate surgery. According to doctors, Sandy has unknowingly contracted a flesh eating disease that has quickly moved through her body ultimately leaving her lower abdomen fleshless and Sandy on a ventilator. Currently, Sandy is in the ICU recovering from multiple surgeries and will still need to undergo skin graph surgery when her body is strong enough in to cover her lower abdomen where the infected skin was taken. Sandy is a hard working, single mother of two boys (Xander and Colson), who needs all the help she can get during this unexpected time. Sandys' insurance will only cover a fraction of what is needed for her recovery. At this time we are asking for all the prayers, any help covering her living costs, care of her boys, and not being able to work during her recovery. Anything at all would be more than greatly appreciated. Right now, Sandy is still in the ICU and outcomes are uncertain. Her mom Pat is doing the best she can to update everyone on her condition via Facebook. As a family, we are asking for your continued prayers and supports for Sandys' recovery and her boys.
God bless you all,
Sandys Family
