Single Mom, One Car, No Plan B — I Need Help

Hi, my name is Alixandra, and I’m a mom of two — a 10-year-old and a 14-year-old — doing everything I can to hold it all together. But right now, I’m facing something I just can’t fix on my own. My only car — a 2018 Kia Soul — was damaged, and without it, our entire life has been thrown into chaos.

Here’s what happened:

Someone attempted to steal my car, and now the steering wheel is completely upside down, the steering column is damaged, and the Kia anti-theft system may be compromised. It’s not safe to drive and needs to be towed, inspected, and professionally repaired.

I only have liability insurance, which means I get zero coverage for this damage. No towing, no repairs, no rental car — just me, stuck and stressed, trying to figure it out with two kids and no transportation.

And with school starting soon, I’m also stressing over back-to-school costs — supplies, clothes, shoes, all the essentials for two growing kids.

I’m asking for help to cover:

• Towing and diagnostic costs

• Steering and anti-theft system repairs

• Parts and labor

• General safety maintenance

• Back-to-school costs for both my children

And if I can’t raise the full cost of repairs, I’m looking into affordable bikes — for me and my kids — just so we have some way to get where we need to go.
