Sinead's battle with Ependyomoma Brain Cancer
Spende geschützt
Sinead was diagnosed with an ependyomoma grade 3 in August 2021. She has had 5 brain operations to try remove the tumours. Two round of IV chemotherapy, 6 weeks of proton beam therapy in London and two different intrathecal chemotherapy. Physio therapy to help her walking after the IV chemo.
Surgery initially worked with proton beam after but the tumours have come back. She took a rapid turn last week and there is no more treatment they can offer as the chemotherapy isn’t working. The doctors think that Sinead wouldn’t survive another brain operation to remove the two new large tumours that have grown plus some smaller ones too. Sinead is being treated under palative care and is not expected to make a recovery. We as a family just want some time and special moments with her. She has been so strong and absolutely amazing during all of this, she always has a positive attitude towards treatment. No one should have to go through this, especially a beautiful young girl who is only 13.
Daniel is a single father to his three children but has an incredible supportive partner Coral. Coral also has two children of her own and they are not currently receiving any financial support so we would appreciate any help possible to make memories in the time they have left together, especially the last Christmas they will spend as a family. They would love to try alternative treatments and when the inevitable happens, contributions to give Sinead the funeral she deserves would mean the world to them.
