Signater Family Tornado Relief
Donation protected
As some of you may know, one of our second-year Pulmonary / Critical Care fellows narrowly escaped injury during the tornado event this Wednesday. Dr. Kristin Signater was home with her one-month-old daughter Khouri when the tornado damaged her house in Arabi. She made it into a closet just as her windows were breaking. The family escaped major injury, but their home did not. Kristin is now living with family in Baton Rouge while she and Patrick pick up the pieces (literally and figuratively).
In New Orleans, we take care of our family, our friends, and our neighbors. We're also kind to strangers. Please consider donating to this GoFundMe effort that we (the LSUHSC and Ochsner Pulmonary/Critical Care Departments) have established to support Kristin, Patrick, and Khouri. THANK YOU in advance for your generosity.
There's never a good time to be forced from your home. We are so happy that this family was not harmed, but they certainly suffered a loss. Let's do what we can to help.
