Manchester university students producing comedy short film.

Hi, my name is Haydn, and I am the co-director of upcoming student comedy short film, All In. I am working with fellow students Jack Kielty, Kai Walsh and Ted Linahan. We are students at Futureworks University and are aiming for a May 2025 release date.

LOGLINE: When 2 irresponsible parents are duped into an "Uno" game by a mysterious con-woman, they must compete for a prized 1 of 1 children's toy.

Please take a look at our fundraiser video, about a wealthy film investor, his sassy assistant and a degenerate film producer who blows the movie budget on online gambling.

THE PREMISE: The film follows Hector, a wealthy businessman and father who has pushed his relationship with his daughter to the side in pursuit of his career. He is self obsessed, greedy and rude. He then meets his counterpart Darrell, a working class man who is a kind and loving father, working hard to provide a living for his child. Hector and and Darrell exchange pleasantries in a bar, where they both learn they are after a rare toy for their children, The Gizmo.

Hector and Darrell learn of a woman named Betsy, a master Cuatro player. (Legally distinct from Uno.) Betsy is in possession of The Gizmo, and forces them to battle in Cuatro for it.

GET TO KNOW US:

Haydn Morton: One of the co-directors of this project. Making my live-action film debut, I am a filmmaker from Hadfield looking to expand and diversify my work. I have created several stop motion animations, for both passion projects and educational purposes. I have a strong background in video editing and visual FX. I have worked on upcoming series "Reapers" featuring Jennifer Banks.

Jack Kielty: One of the co-directors of this project. He has written and directed multiple short films, worked on serialized TV and behind the scenes in advertising. He has a strong background in comedy writing.

Kai Walsh: The producer/writer of the project. He has written and directed multiple shorts, is actively working as a free lance photographer and is a passionate comedy writer. He has also worked on "Before I Do" a BAFTA qualifying short that has screened at Manchester & Bolton Film Festival. Additionally, the Co-Director of "Reapers".

Ted Linahan: The cinematographer. He has directed and wrote multiple shorts, but is now specialized in camera, fresh off his role as the Director of Cinematography in the "Reapers" short series. Is also the co-founder of production company SFP Film.

ADDITIONAL CREW:

Max Bianchi: Sound recordist. Max is a film student specifying in sound recording and Foley. He has a breadth of experience as an on-set sound recordist and audio engineer.

Rio-Draisey-Poole: Original Score Composer. Rio is a music production student, who has created a wide variety of music in multiple genres. Additionally, he is the bassist of experimental Post-Rock band, The Great Unwashed. This will be his debut as a film score composer.

WHAT WE NEED:

This is a non-profit student film. All proceeds of this campaign will go towards the costs of travel to set, costume, props and feeding the actors.
